Hiking around the Lake of Sarnen
The Lake of Sarnen can be walked around in pieces or at a stretch. The tour lasts 5 hours and is adapted for everybody and for sure, it is worth the trip.
Hiking from Sarnen via Wichselsee to Alpnach Dorf
It’s an easy tour along the Sarneraa to the protected landscape Wichselsee (1 hour), where different water birds can be obseved. Following the footpath, it leads you to the forest - and crop nature trail of the SARNA nature reserve. From Alpnach Dorf the train or the bus brings you back to Sarnen.
Hiking from Sarnen to Flüeli Ranft
It’s a diversified tour with a short climb to the grotto of Lourdes that leads you through grassland and forests. At the boarder of the canyon of Melchtalaa, along the high bridge, the track directs up into the ‘Auenwälder’ of the ‘Sachsler Allmend’ and to the place of pilgrimage ‘Flüeli’, the birthplace of Brother Klaus.
Aside there are many other hiking trails waiting to become followed.
