Sustainable into the future

To ensure that we can guarantee you sustainable hotel operations, our processes are constantly being rethought and adapted. We are aware that the to-do list is endlessly long and that there is always room for improvement. Step by step, we want to improve and, together with you, make a contribution to a more sustainable future. By the way, you can help save resources in many areas – we thank you for your support.   

We have been a myclimate partner hotel since April 2021.
While we strive to make as little impact on the environment and climate as possible, a stay at a hotel does produce greenhouse gas emissions that are harmful to our planet. Your contribution means you are taking responsibility for these emissions and actively supporting the protection of our environment and natural surroundings. As a thank you, we will double your contribution and invest in effective climate protection measures on site. This shared commitment to environmental and climate protection has a double impact, supporting sustainable enjoyment of nature locally and globally.
In all seminars which have been booked from 2021, the climate contribution of CHF 3.00 is already included in the seminar package.

You have the opportunity to forego room cleaning and thus save resources,
in return you will be refunded CHF 5.00 per person per night (from 2 nights).

On request, the towelling in the rooms can be used several times, you will find a description of how to use it in the room.

We have automatic dosing systems so that not too much chemical and washing powder is used

Sauna and terry towels are deliberately placed in a spa basket,
so that the consumption of towelling is kept to a minimum. Additional towels are always available on request

Our showers have a flow control, this helps to save water.

We have GRANDER water in the house and can thus use reduced cleaning and washing agents (according to our own comparison models).

Waste separation is strictly adhered to, organic waste is processed into bio-gas in the region.

Food is sourced as far as possible from regional producers and traders.

We support the project Water for Water. We charge a small amount for tap water,
This is passed on in full as a donation to the Water for Water organisation.

Our spa building is sustainably built from wood. Designed by a local architect and built by local companies.

Wherever possible, energy-saving LED lamps are used.

We encourage travel by public transport
and offer a free shuttle service to and from Sarnen railway station

The outdoor pool and the brine pool are partly heated with solar energy

Our cosmetic line “comfort zone” is made from natural oils and fats.
The processing is done with energy from renewable sources, and animal testing is completely avoided.
