Waiver of Room Cleaning
You have the option to waive room cleaning and thus save resources, in return you will receive CHF 5.00 per person per night refunded (from 2 nights).
No Disposable Slippers
Since 2022, we have refrained from using disposable slippers in the spa bag and in the rooms. For sustainability reasons, we ask you to bring your own bath slippers. If needed, you can get sustainable flip flops from the company Schnarwiler for CHF 7.00 at the reception.
Climate-Neutral Print Production
All printed materials produced in the future will be printed climate-neutrally. As of October 2021, 1,405 kg of CO2 have been offset, which corresponds to the average CO2 emissions of a mid-size car after 7,317 km.
Regional Food
Food is sourced as much as possible from regional producers and retailers.
Zero Food Waste
To avoid food waste, we forgo the lunch buffet and serve meals at seminars and large groups à la carte.
Vintage Cars in Obwalden
We participate in the O-iO Forest, an initiated project by and with «Vintage Cars in Obwalden».
Use of Terry Towels
Upon request, terry towels in the rooms can be used multiple times; the instructions for handling can be found in the room.
Spa Basket
Sauna and terry towels are deliberately provided in a spa basket to keep the consumption of terry linen within limits. Additional towels are always available upon request.
Save Water
Our showers are equipped with a flow regulator, which helps to save water.
GRANDER Water
We have GRANDER Water in the house and can thus reduce the use of cleaning and washing agents (according to our own comparison models).
Strict Waste Separation
Waste separation is strictly adhered to, and organic waste is further processed into biogas in the region.
Spa Building
Our spa building is sustainably built from wood. Designed by a local architect and constructed by local companies.
Save with LED
Wherever possible, energy-saving LED lamps are used.
Sustainable Mobility
We promote travel by public transport and offer you a free shuttle service to and from Sarnen station (for guests with overnight stays). In addition, we have installed two e-charging stations for electric cars at our location.
Solar Energy
The outdoor and brine pools are partially heated with solar energy.
Cruelty-Free Natural Cosmetics
Our cosmetic line «comfort zone» is made from natural oils and fats. The processing is done with energy from renewable sources, and animal testing is completely avoided.
Various
Our service aprons are made from recycled plastic bottles and our straws are compostable.
